On 03 April, VLU’s Faculty of Commerce in cooperation with AIESEC had organized the Youth Speak event titled “Owning the present – Building the Future.”
The Youth Speak event attracted enormous VLU students.
With the vision to speak out and take action to achieve 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), AIESEC had launched the Youth for Global Goals (Y4GG) intending to stimulate the leadership potential of the global youth and encourage them to join hands in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Youth Speak was a part of the Youth for Global Goal campaign.
At the event, the young students had the opportunities to meet, discuss, speak their minds and take action for the crucial matter in life.
At the event, there was the speaker Nguyen Da Uyen – Co-founder of the Lai Day refill station, and the Director of CEL Consulting. She participated in the event to share and inspire the students about sustainable living habits satisfying the 12th Sustainable Goal – Responsible manufacturing and consumption.

Also in the same event, there was Dr. Phan Hai Trieu – Consultant of Halin Xanh which was also the Golden sponsor for the Youth Speak event at Van Lang University. After setting a broader vision about SDGs and the practical applications that VLU students could do to contribute to the SDGs, and make their lives more meaningful, he said: “I believe each person has their way of contributing to the SDGs and live a meaningful life. We can spread this message so that many individual actions could become a collective one, thus we could achieve one step closer to our goals."
Dr. Phan Hai Trieu – Consultant of Halin Xanh and the representative of the Golden sponsor for the Youth Speak event had provided wonderful and meaningful knowledge to VLU students.
The event was not just a one-way activity when the students could raise their voice about the environmental problems and discuss with others who shared the same interest.
The students worked in group and proposed their ideas to the environmental problems and sustainable development
With the message “the success of the mission for sustainable development depends on the solidity of each individual/ company/ organization”, the Youth Speak event at VLU had satisfied the students with the right to learn, to see, and to interact with the practical matters in life.
