With 7 years of experience in the field of recruitment and HR training and a headhunter, Ms. Pham Minh Hien has her own opinions on the change in recruitment roles today: "Employers are the intermediary of a straight line where the starting point is the business, the endpoint is the candidate, and they must always find a way to connect the candidate and the business. Consider the recruiters as the ones who connect candidates with the business, and they are also very much looking forward to having the opportunity to cooperate as well as talk to the candidates more deeply to maintain the relationship."

At the same time, Ms. Minh Hien shared that the scale of the recruitment industry today is quite small and closed, so employers always have a relationship with each other, so they have to work with enthusiasm to maintain their reputation in the market to encourage candidates to be confident when in contact and try to maintain relationships with recruiters.

The speaker gave an overview of the current recruitment situation from which to give the necessary advice before, during and after the interview. According to her, before the interview, candidates need to have an analysis of the position and the company. She also shared the search of corporate tax codes on government information systems and the search of websites to identify fake companies in the market. Throughout the presentation, Ms. Minh Hien always encouraged students to always be proactive before job opportunities from directly learning the upcoming interviewer information to being prepared to freely asking questions about the career advancement roadmap as an unpaid trainee to exchanging their desired salary, and after the end of the interview actively keep in touch with the recruiter, calmly wait for the results while looking for more opportunities for yourself.

In addition, Ms. Hien especially noted that students during the interview process when encountering fixed questions should answer them with focus, brief points. Regarding the case that many students will encounter when leaving school is not much work experience, she emphasizes to clearly state the goals with short- and long-term goals with the statistics and skills they want. In the presentation, she introduced the STAR method to help candidates improvise when facing with unexpected situational questions from employers.
