(VLU, 27/3/2021) - On 25th March 2021, Van Lang University and Doanh Nhan Saigon Magazine (Saigon Businessmen Magazine) had signed a Memorandum of Agreement on co-organizing the Annual Forum on Smart Cities themed on “Identifying the traits of Smart Cities”. The first forum is expected to attract the participation of 2,000 individuals.
Doanh Nhan Saigon Magazine had cooperated with Van Lang University to organize the Annual Forum on Smart Cities aiming for proposing solutions for existing setbacks to help develop Vietnam’s urban areas to reach a higher level.
The Memorandum of Agreement Signing Ceremony between Van Lang University and Doanh Nhan Saigon Magazine
The Annual Forum on Smart Cities is one of the fruits bore from the MOU Signing Ceremony between Van Lang University and Doanh Nhan Saigon Newspaper (now changed to Doanh Nhan Saigon Magazine) on 08 October 2020.
The Forum is a new and breakthrough event aiming for strengthening and spreading new knowledge; introducing and exhibiting on Smart Cities; encouraging investment and sharing management experience on both national and international scale; develop smart cities according to the Developing Smart Cities in Vietnam Project from 2018 to 2025 with the vision to 2030.
In the Signing Ceremony between both parties on co-organizing the Annual Forum on Smart Cities, both parties had discussed specific terms related to the Forum organizing such as identifying the Forum’s detailed goals, time, plan, budget, modes of delivery, contents, scales, and published products.
Mr. Tran Hoang – Saigon Bussiness Magazine’s Editorial in Chief and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu – VLU’s President had signed the Memorandum of Agreement on organizing the HCMC’s Annual Forum on Smart Cities.
Taking place simultaneously with the Forum’s main activities, the Organizing Committee will publish the important book introducing smart cities in a general and overall perspective with the contribution of credible and enthusiastic authors in smart cities construction and development.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu – VLU’s President gifted the representative of Saigon Bussiness Magazine with a memento.
Mr. Tran Hoang – Saigon Bussiness Magazine’s Editorial in Chief also gifted Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu with “Businessmen and Book week”10 most valuable books.
At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu, VLU’s President also proposed designing and organizing training courses focusing on Smart Cities for individuals and organizations to extend and enhance the quality of related workforces. This idea received great support from Saigon Bussiness Magazine. Once the Signing Ceremony finished, the next step was to select the Organizing Committee for the Forum to execute the further preparations.
