Architecture Faculty of Van Lang University and the journey "Continuing creating dreams" for children with disabilities

(VLU - Octorber 27, 2020) - On October 25, 2020, Van Lang University held a ‘Continuing creating dreams’ meeting to summarize the first phase as well as the exhibition of products of the Coloring Dreams project. They also conducted a dialogue between business and university to build 2nd phase development plan for this meaningful community project.

Coloring dreams is a community project initiated by the Architecture Faculty from Van Lang University, in partnership with Vietnam Campus Engage and the Hy Vong Binh Thanh School of Deafness. Project has received a lot of attention and support from sponsors, philanthropists and domestic businesses.

Through 4 training sessions and 10 meetings with the community, the project has successfully connected 17 students from the Architecture Faculty with 32 deaf kids at Hy Vong Binh Thanh School, helping them learn how to use acrylic colors, modeling techniques to create, express ideas and dreams by art.

In addition, through the stone paintings supported by Quang Dieu Stone Company, the project successfully raised funds and contributed VND 63 million to Hy Vong Binh Thanh School of Deafness.

In today's event, VLU would like to thank Hy Vong Binh Thanh School of Deafness for creating conditions for students and teachers of the Architecture Faculty, the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design to participate in a very meaningful program.”

With the meeting ‘Continuing Creating Dreams’, Van Lang University continues to initiate discussions with community partners (including Hy Vong Binh Thanh School of Deafness, 4 disabled schools will participate in the project), businesses, representatives of UTS International School, experts from the training faculties of Van Lang University and student representatives from the Architecture Faculty, Technology Faculty and Public Relations & Communication Faculty for the project to continue to be replicated and spreaded meaning in the community.
