(VLU - October 06, 2020) - On 04 October 2020 in Hanoi Opera House, Van Lang University and Dr. Nguyen Cao Tri had received “Business of the year” and “Businessman of the year” awards respectively at Vietnam – ASEAN 2020 Honoring Ceremony.
The ceremony belonged to the "ASEAN+3 (Japan, South Korea, India) Business Forum for the adaptations in Creativity, Sustainable and Prosperous Development during the Fourth Industrial Revolution Era” activity series. This activity was also an activation event in celebration of Vietnam being the Chairman of ASEAN 2020 and the upcoming ASEAN Summit in November 2020.
The ceremony was to honor the ASEAN+3’s businesses and businessmen, who had exceedingly contributed to the sustainable adaptations during the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
According to the “ASEAN honoring regulations and businesses – businessmen motivating policies" the ceremony honored the administrators, who are currently directing ASEAN+3's companies and enterprises and are significantly contributing to the regional economic developments. The event praised the business and businessman role models in social responsibility, environmental protection, tax duty fulfillment, and legal commitment.
Not only Dr. Nguyen Cao Tri – Chairman of Van Lang University was awarded the “Businessman of the year” prize, but Van Lang University also received the “Business of the Year" recognition at the Vietnam ASEAN 2020 honoring ceremony. This accomplishment was thanked for the considerable contribution in scientific research, business, and society, devotion to the ASEAN business community.
Van Lang University had honorably received the “Vietnam – ASEAN 2020 Enterprise of the year”.
On behalf of Dr. Nguyen Cao Tri – Chairman of the University, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Thuy – Member of Van Lang University's Board of Trustees, received the "Vietnam – ASEAN 2020 Businessman of the year" award.
Mr. Nguyen The Phuong's speech at the event, also raised the difficulties that both the World and Vietnam were dealing with during the Covid-19 pandemic situation. However, with outstanding determination, Vietnam had successfully pushed the pandemic back and even achieved positive economic growth in 2020. This achievement resulted from all the enthusiastic dedication in various forms of Vietnam’s businesses and businessmen.
