(Admissions and Communications office - Van Lang 21/8/2019) - On the afternoon of August 20th, 2019, Van Lang University and Gia Dinh People's Hospital signed a cooperation agreement to promote the implementation of medical examination and treatment activities at Van Lang Polyclinic which will be opened at Campus 2 of the University.
To promote the quality of training and create learning and practice environment for students of Medicine and Pharmacy, Van Lang University and Gia Dinh People's Hospital will gradually establish Van Lang Polyclinic which will organize medical examination and treatment for people - contributing to addressing the needs of healthcare for community.
On the afternoon of August 20th, 2019, Van Lang University and Gia Dinh People's Hospital signed an official cooperation agreement on the establishment of Van Lang Polyclinic. Representatives from Gia Dinh People's Hospital included Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Anh Dung – Director, specialist Nguyen Anh Tuyet - Deputy Director, Assoc. Prof. Tran Viet Hong - Deputy Director and leaders of the relevant units and departments. Representatives from Van Lang University included: Mr. Bui Quang Do - Chairman of the Board, Dr. Nguyen Cao Tri - Vice Chairman of the Board, Mr. Le Ngoc Son - Standing Member of the Board, Assoc. Prof. Dr .Tran Thi My Dieu - Rector, and Assoc. Prof. Dr . Nguyen Van Ang - Deputy Principal.
Mr. Bui Quang Do - Chairman of Van Lang University's Board and Dr. Nguyen Anh Dung - Director of Gia Dinh People's Hospital signed the memorandum of cooperation in an exciting atmosphere and believed that this would be a milestone in the development of both parties – which would benefit our students and society.
On behalf of Van Lang University, Mr. Bui Quang Do expressed his sincere thanks to the leaders and doctors of Gia Dinh People's Hospital for visiting the University and witnessing the signing ceremony. Van Lang University currently is eligible for space and finance, and will cover the entire cost of purchasing equipment, facilities, medical supplies, etc. Gia Dinh People's Hospital will be providing human resources for operation, including qualified specialists and doctors, staff training, medical examination and treatment services. It also assists research and training for students of Van Lang University. According to the memorandum, Van Lang Polyclinic will be established and operated at Campus 2 of Van Lang University (233 A Phan Van Tri Street, Ward 11, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City).
Dr. Nguyen Anh Dung - Director of Gia Dinh People's Hospital expressed his gratitude to Van Lang University for the thoughtful reception and confirmed that the hospital will support and closely coordinate with Van Lang University in providing human resources for professional examination and treatment. The hospital also committed to supporting Van Lang University students with employment opportunities as well as training program to meet social demands of healthcare system.
On behalf of specialists and doctors from Gia Dinh People's Hospital, Dr. Nguyen Anh Dung committed to working closely with Van Lang University to operate Van Lang Polyclinic.
Dr. Nguyen Cao Tri - Vice Chairman of the Board of Van Lang University stated: “In the context of development in medical industry and the change of our society, both hospitals and schools are becoming independent. The cooperation between University and hospital contributes to improving the effectiveness of high-quality human resource training for healthcare system. Van Lang University will gradually implement a plan to open a polyclinic and refurbish facilities to put clinics into operation soon.
In recent years, Van Lang University has expanded its training areas to meet the criteria of a multi-disciplinary applied university and promoted cooperation programs to improve learning conditions for students at the same time. The cooperation with Gia Dinh People's Hospital will be a great achievement in the overall goal of building Van Lang's school-hospital model.
