(VLU, 07/9/2021) - After more than two months of launching, the family photo contest themed "Peaceful family - Happy society" organized by the Trade Union of Van Lang University has ended with the final prize belonged to "Completing vow" by author Nguyen Ngoc Linh - Union Group of Faculty of Fine Arts & Design.
Family photo contest with the theme "Peaceful family - Happy society" for Trade unionists of Van Lang University with the goal of celebrating the 20th anniversary of Vietnamese Family Day and for National Action Month of Violence Prevention Program in 2021. The photos are moments that capture everyday activities, idyllic events that happen in our own homes, showing care and concern among family members. Since then, the contest has contributed to propagating love and tolerance among generations of members, preserving and spreading the beauty and traditional values of Vietnamese families.

After 2 months of launching and deploying, the Organizing Committee received a total of 141 entries. Based on the rules and criteria set forth, the Organizing Committee has summarized and awarded 18 prizes to the winning works with the value of 17,000,000 VND.
First prize: "Completing" - Nguyen Ngoc Linh - Faculty of Fine Arts & Design
With this photo, author Nguyen Ngoc Linh confided: "My grandparents got married since the day the country was unified. Overcoming many difficulties of the times, grandparents were always together, supporting and protecting each other. Every now and then, grandparents are always the rear for their hard-working children. Over months of treatment for stroke, grandfather had difficulty eating, walking, and sleeping, grandma both took care of his food and sleep, and helped him to go to the toilet, and was a "translation machine" when he could not speak. Grandparents have been living their vows when they declared their marriage to each other on their wedding day.”
